After graduation I got a job with a small airline in northern BC as a flight dispatcher biding my time in a ground position until I had the chance to fly for the company. The wait time of more than 2 years was too much for me to handle, and I realized that the lifestyle of a commercial pilot was not for me after all. I decided to fall back on my degree in a different capacity and get involved in the airport world. I took a job as a dispatcher at YVR Airport in Operations and that led me to my role now as Baggage and Gate Scheduler working directly for the YVR Airport Authority. I couldn't be happier with where I am now and feel like I have more possibilities open to me than I can even fathom. There's nothing more exciting than that!
